College search help?

Hi everyone,

So I'm looking at colleges in the Midwest/west coast that would have Criminology/Criminl Justice as a major. I currently am a junior at a college prep catholic high school. I have a 3.3 Weighted GPA and although I haven't taken the ACT or SAT, my composite plan score test was between a 28-34ish. I also might graduate with honors (which is eight honors or ap classes and I currently have 4, planning to take the other 4 next year) I have strong ECs like a varsity sport (cheerleading, also a co-captain, service work, mock trial, and involment in the theatre and music programs) What colleges should I consider? Also what kind of scholarships should I search and apply for once the time comes? I live in Colorado and am considering schools like CU Boulder, CSU, UNC, etc.

Thanks so much for all the help! :)

That’s a tough one…a 28-34 is basically ranging anywhere from a decent school to an Ivy! There is a huge difference in 6 points.
I am currently in the process of applying for the Coca Cola Scholars Scholarship and would definitely recommend it (Fall of Senior Year).
As far as schools go, try using a college search engine like the one on CollegeBoard’s website and play around with your test scores to see what options will become available as your score shifts within the range you provided so that you have a good idea of what you are looking at. You can enter your desired major on the website and it will only list schools that have that major and fit your criteria. Good luck!
