College Selection

I need to decide between Texas A&M , Penn State - UP , UMaryland and UWashington - Seattle .. I just have 1 spot left on my applications list . I plan to do Mechanical Engineering . I am an International student.. who does not require financial aid.

Pick one .. and justify

Four good choices. I would probably go with Washington, because it has a true campus yet sits in the heart of a major city.

PSU!
You’ll LOVE the school spirit, I promise!

This is so confusing ! … In my previous thread … one of the members told me to apply to Texas A&M … and now he 2 of u are in the totally opposite directions .

I am using these universities as a safety so that if i get screwd at the Big Uni’s … I don’t mess up entirely !

please refer to the 13th post

^ There is no one perfect option. Each of these schools is good for engineering, and it will come down to personal preference (or finances).

Could you say a bit more about what you are looking for?

please refer to the 13th post

Go to this link … and see the 13th post … tht’s what i am looking for … I am not applying for financial aid … a maximum of 60,000 $ per year is my parents budget… so i guess i don’t have to worry about that

^ When you said “13th post”, I assumed you meant post #13, not the 13th on that page (which is actually #28).

Anyway, I would still rank Washington highest, thanks to the solid programs and bustling city.

I would go to UWashington based on what you like. Solid programs, facilities, and a city that is very alive and cosmopolitan unlike the rest which are college towns (Like Purdue for example). Three of the four are actually even located in towns named after the college: University Park (PSU), College Station (A&M), and College Park (Maryland) lol. Not to say that college towns aren’t alive, just doesn’t seem like what you want based on your post.

BUMP … any1 else ?

I personally would go to U Maryland- CP.
