Hello,

WARNING! THE CAP LOCK IS BROKEN ON THE COMPUTER I AM ON RIGHT NOW. I CAN ONLY SHIFT FOR CAPS AND DON'T WANT TO CAP EVERYWORD SO BE WARNED I'M NOT BEING LAZY.

now that i have your attention.....

I'm a college sophmore and right now i am kind of stressed/confused.

to start off, i graduated from high school with a 3.47gpa, took 3 ap courses (all my school offered)-including calc. i could not do more because i moved from seattle to st. louis after freshman and totally different requirements. seattle had higher courses to the point that the hs in st. louis did not have some of my classes and forced me to take some lower courses. i had a 3.68 gpa and thought that was low.

anyways, when it came to college selection time my school wasnt very helpful. heck, i did not even realize deadlines until the last minute. i went to my counselors with about college several times and there was no help. i did the research myself and wanted to go to mit. loved the school.

well, it turns out that i could not apply there as i wanted to. my mom is a single parent and refused to let me go. not outright refused, but said why am i leaving off to college when i can go locally. she said i would have all sorts of problems on campus and i need to help out with the finances.

i got stuck attending a small liberal arts school in the area. i never applied to washu because i though it would be too much money-never knew they gave grants for poor students.

flash forward to the future, i hate my school. the major i chose, comp sci, is not going to be available next year and my grades have been horrible. for one, the school is tooo easy where i am not being challenged. on top of that, i was working for the last yr and a half over 30hrs a week to help bring money in. i do not live on campus and things have been very very hard. plus, i don't have a car-i've been taking the bus. all of this has been too much on me.

i've decided that i hate this school and want to transfers...but my previous grades are bad. i'm improving them this semester, but i'll be a junior next semester and might have a hard time transferring. heck, i could go to washu with no problem as long as i don't live home.

anyone has any idea on what i should do? please help me as soon as possible.
