Hey all. I am a current college sophomore and while I've been applying to internships and looking for summer work opportunities I don't yet have anything that looks promising. Consequently, I am considering alternative options, and was hoping to get some input from others. Does anybody have recommended programs or ideas for constructive things to do with my summer? I had a great work experience last summer, so it wouldn't be bad if it was something more intellectually or emotionally enhancing, perhaps a study abroad or international volunteering experience. I'm definitely on a budget, but have a few grand I could probably come up with.

Ah, I’m trying to figure this out as well.

Studying abroad is wonderful and you can do that during the summer. But, if you’re on a budget then maybe that should be something to have a rain check on… As for programs, what major are you?

Study abroad, volunteering, research, a new hobby, summer classes, etc.
