College Spending Money

<p>Hi, I'm going to transfer to a University from a Community College and I'm just wondering on average how much spending money would I need per month or week. </p>

<p>My parents tell me 1.5k per school year and I don't really think I'll be needing that much since I probably won't be out all that often since I don't know anybody yet. My brother told me that he spent all his 1.5k each year, but he pretty much went out every weekend and bought games frequently. </p>

<p>I'll be living in an apartment with a friend and my parents will pay for tuition, book, etc and also for a food card for only 3 meals a day. Thank you for the help!</p>

<p>Just depends on the type of person you are and what you need/want. People will peer pressure you into buying stuff. Other times, you will be tempted by your inner demons to buy something even though you did not plan to buy it. So it all depends on how disciplined you are with your money.</p>
