My current junior knows that it’s highly likely that she has one real option based on her preferred major and general location, combined with our financial contribution. She’s pretty happy with it and I think we are doing a good job at learning to love the instate public more and more. She will likely throw out a couple other applications just in case a combination of merit and basic student loans make them possible… but she’s pretty practical and thinking there are other things she’d prefer to spend that money on.
Only on CC do I ever hear anyone say it’s a great idea to spend $100 on an extra college app just for fun.
Aren’t there regular people here who have a different type of fun thing in mind for $100?
My son has lots of friends in engineering at Kansas State. They are enjoying it and their friends are getting good jobs!
