10th - pre-IB chem
physics
IB pre-calc (trig and stuff)

11th - IB chem
IB calc

12th (planned) - IB chem
BC calc

i've gotten As in all of these classes, my GPA is brought down by history classes only (IB american history and IB european history)

i want to go into engineering because math comes easy for me

my top schools:
Cornell
Berkeley
dartmouth
carnegie mellon
colorado school of mines
wash U
northwestern
U penn
columbia (WAY WAY WAY reach, but hey, what the heck)
UCLA
UC-Davis
UCSD
U michigan

If you are looking for a smaller school check out Rose Hulman. I was making a choice between U of Mich and U of Ill and decided to go to Rose. Its worth taking a visit.

regarding UCs, i think you'd have a good chance at UCD, UCSD, and UCLA. maybe a reach for Cal? if you can get your test scores up, you would almost certainly get into UCLA engineering if you were in-state. being female helps too, i would imagine. not asian though....

personally i don't think its worth the cost to go to UCD from out-of-state...but that's just my opinion.

also, i'm not entirely sure if that engineering camp will help you unless you write an essay about it.

I think the engineering camp will help because it shows she is really interested in engineering enough to go to a camp.

The schools on your list are good schools. The environments are very different. I would make a list of things that interests you about each of the schools including the academics, campus life, and location. That may help you narrow your list. Even if you can't visit the schools on your list visit some to get an idea of what you like and dislike.

The engineering camp would be great for you app, but I wouldn't let it get around to the kids at your school that you went there....unless you've already been stereotyped as a geek, then by all means go for it.

most of my ECs are speech and performance stuff: drama interp, original oratory, tele-broadcasting (anchorwoman), mock trial, musical, and many others, i have enough service stuff: voluneering and NHS

but . . . practically nothing in math or sciences
