college suggestions

Im from Texas and this is my senior year. My dream school Is U of Texas but realistically i have a very slim shot at getting in and if I don't i probally won't take the CAP. One of the other schools i looked at is Baylor and while it is second on my "list" i feel i could find somewhere I fit in better. MY back up plan is to go to Sam Houston but i feel like its looked down upon for its lack of selectivity.

I just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions of colleges
requirements:
In Texas or surrounding states (Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, maybe Miss.)
In a urban area or at least a small city.
Medium to large student body.
Preferably an active student body(not a commuter campus)

thanks for the help

please respond, bump

Louisiana State University

I've been looking at lsu but i heard its not in the best part of town and some ppl told me its sort of a commuter school

Oklahoma State, University of Tulsa and Tulane.

Thanks poi i haven't thought about Tulsa.

You might want to consider Texas State in San Marcos. It has grown quite a bit and they are investing a lot in new facilities. The campus is beautiful. It reminds me of what UT was 30 years ago...
