College Suggestions

<p>I'm embarking on my college visit/search and was hoping for some suggestions.</p>

<p>I'd really like to major in English, Creative Writing, Journalism.. or something of that nature.
And possibly minor in Dance.</p>

<p>I have no real preference toward public/private, size of undergraduate class, etc.
I'd just really like a school with a nice social atmosphere, many clubs to join, new things to try, and a place with school spirit. I also tend to gravitate toward places with strong visual/performing arts programs.</p>

<p>I've been looking at schools in Illinois(in-state), Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, California, and North Carolina.</p>

<p>I'm in the top 10% of my class out of about 450, taking AP classes, etc etc.</p>

<p>Just looking for a few suggestions as to what schools would fit what I'm looking for.</p>

<p>Apply to Penn. It has an amazing English department and plus it has clubs like the Kelley Writer House. Also, the guy who tutored me on the SAT was an English major at Penn and told me the English department at Penn was amazing.</p>

<p>Also its not totally academic, since lots of people party and it has a great social atmosphere.</p>

<p>I recommend University of Southern California. They have very strong programs in the arts, and it’s directly in LA! What more could you ask for?</p>

And yes, I’ve been considering USC. It sounds awesome.</p>
