I am an international student (female) who's planning to apply for admission in Fall 2011 (Early Action/Decision) after taking a Gap Year.
I haven't taken the SAT yet (shall take it next summer).
I shall have finished 8-9 GCE O-levels (tougher than the GCSEs) by May/June 2010 (with re-sits in only 2 subjects) and expect to receive all As.

My present GPA is 3.82, though I hope to bring it up to 4.0 within a year (UW)

Students usually study 3-4 GCE A-levels, but I am presently studying 5, and wish to take up 2 more AS levels (making it one complete A level) next year. I'm trying to make the grades mostly As.

AS-levels (year 11):

Math
English Literature
Economics
Psychology
Business Studies
Sociology (shall take up next year)
Accounting/Geography (shall take up next year)

A2 level (year 12) exams to be given-

Math
English Literature
Economics
Psychology
Business Studies

My present academic and extracurricular achievements include-

Purple-stripe Belt in Karate
All-round achiever in school (received certificate and award)
Table Tennis player
Chess Player

Class Representative (year 10)

Work Experience-

Freelance reporter for a popular newspaper.
Amateur Accountant.
Teach English and Math to underprivileged children.
Part of an NGO

During my gap year, alongside completing the extra A-levels I mentioned above, I intend to grow as a person by participating in all kinds of other extra-curricular activities. I might take up a summer job in the US (J1 visa), volunteer abroad or in India, learn foreign languages, etc.

I am not sure if this would count as a possible disadvantage, but the school in which I study (though an international one), is a 10000 sq. feet shabby building without even a playground, let alone proper facilities or opportunities for students. The teachers are great, but the management is abominable!

Please suggest a few suitable colleges/universities I could apply to (including safeties).
