Anyone know of any summer programs for college students where you can audition as a string player but still have some opportunities for composition as well or possibly the other way around? Thanks for any ideas.

I believe that Thumper’s S studied composition along with horn at Brevard. [BMC : College Program](College) Also, it might be possible at California Summer Music (you’d have to inquire) [California Summer Music at Sonoma State University](http://www.csmusic.org/index.php). If he’s interested in new music performance, the use of interactive computer technology, extended technique, improvisation, and composition check out Atlantic Music Festival’s Future Music Lab [Future Music Lab @ AMF | Atlantic Music Festival 2013](http://atlanticmusicfestival.org/the-institute/programs/future-music-lab)
