<p>Ok, I'm a sophomore and am not the most outstanding guy:</p>

<p>Asian American, Born in England</p>

<p>Rank: 22/247 (i know it sucks)</p>

<p>GPA: 101.5%</p>

<p>Public High school: Danville Area High School
-not too competitive, but by the rank and GPA you couldn't tell
-Danville is a pretty population compared to Philidelphia and Williamsport</p>

<p>Freshmen:
Algebra II: 95%
Physical Science: 98%
Spanish II: 96%
American Cultures: 97%
English 9: 94%</p>

<p>Sophomore as of right now:
AP Bio: 86.7% (that teacher needs to get fired :))
Eng 10 Honors: 92%
Trigonometry and College Algebra (Honors): 95.6%
American Cultures II: 99.5%
Spanish III: 96%</p>

<p>EC:
-Just started volunteering at Muncy Hospital. Plan to get 400hours by end of summer
-Participated in Student Ambassador Program, People to People, and went to 6 different countries in Europe (the program was started by Eisenhower)
-Participated in JHU Talent Search and took old SAT in 7th and 8th grade and got scores of 1000 and 1100. Also qulafied for Spatial Test Battery. Qualified for summer programs each time on SAT and STB.
-2nd Place Honorable Mention in National Spanish Exams
-Boy Scouts (plan to get Eagle by next November or so)
-District Swimmer
-Play in annual Piano recitals (have been playing since I was 5)
-Play the Alto Sax in Marching band (have been playing the saxophone for 5 years)
-Won 2nd in state for Veteran's Post, 1st place in county
-Won 1st and 2nd place in Marian Poster Contest
-National High School Scholar
-President's Scholar (something like that)</p>

<p>-I'm planning to take AP Pschcology at JHU this summer. And do AP Microecnomics seperately with JHU as a Junior.
-Plan to write a book (yes I know what you're thinking)
-Want to do work in Africa</p>

<p>I want to major in Pre-Medicine and be a neurologist, specifically a surgeon.</p>

<p>Any suggestions?</p>

<p>P.S. If I do anything during senior year, would it be late to tell a college? I'm a little rusty with the apllication knowledge. I'm under the understanding that all applications must be sent in during junior year. Does that mean there's no need to do anything during senior year? On the other hand I heard ppl say that they put they they maxed out their senior year on their application?</p>

<p>For neuroscience, Brown. One of the only neuroscience majors for undergraduates. </p>

<p>But need more info, size, location, population, etc.</p>

<p>I just updated it, I think my guidance counselor hates me. When I saw my rank on my report card I was like...FUBAR.</p>

<p>I dunno, but the highest you could get last year should be aboue 104 I think? My friend whos 2 got 102.5.</p>

<p>How can you have an average of more than 100 if you have no mark above 98%?</p>

<p>vogon I think its based off the weighting they give your GPA for taking AP classes. Im assuming these are all AP or Honors courses to be achieving that GPA.</p>

<p>For Freshmen English was weighted 1.04</p>

<p>For Sophomore:
English 10 Honors the weight is 1.08
AP Bio is 1.08
Trig is 1.08</p>

<p>Without your SAT, we are throwing darts in the dark. With your GPA you could go to Harvard or Honolulu Community College. It really is up to your SAT/ACT. You have good GPA/Activities so far, so keep it up and make sure to prep for your standardized tests.</p>

<p>To be honest, I think it's a bit too early for you to worry about specific colleges. You've finished, what, almost three-eighths of high school? I think the most important concerns for you should be test-prep and maintaining a reasonably good GPA. In another year you can start getting more specific with your search.</p>
