One of my parents went to a technical school that is no longer open. I was going to put 0000 for the CEEB code and just type the name in the available space but do I need to note its former location and the fact that it actually no longer exists? Thanks.

I had a problem kinda like yours. My sister went to a technical school that didn’t have a CEEB code (or at least I couldn’t find it). All I did was fill in the rest of the information and leave the code part blank. See if that works.

You should do as ZombieDante did, yes.

The Family page of the Common App Online will require that you enter a CEEB for your parent if you indicate that they have attended college. You will need to click the ‘look up’ link below the CEEB code field and perform two searches. After the second search the text at the bottom of the look up window will change and you will see a link that says “Click here to indicate Not Found in your application.” Click that link to populate a 0000 CEEB code for your parent’s college, then fill in the rest of the info manually.

Thanks, that’s what I figured would be best but since it isn’t even open I wasn’t sure if that would be enough.
