College Touring?

I'm reaching the end of my freshman year and I was wondering when I should start college touring. Travel wouldn't be a concern, and I've been to a lot of places before with siblings.

I was just wondering if frosh-soph summer was too early to start looking for myself.

it’s never too early to start, but I did most of my touring during my junior year. That way, I could spend my senior year doing the applications instead of visiting colleges.

Start late sophomore year (spring) so you can get an idea of what setting you like, so junior year you can visit schools with that environment.

Someone’s flowing with intiative. Settle down bro, you have 3 years. It seems a bit early to be dead set on colleges now.

-------------How do you have 2.7k posts, and you’re only a freshman…?

Man, i must be the only one here who has stuff to do.

I think it’s hard to tell since you don’t really have a great grasp on how high school will treat you – some people are great students, but don’t do well in AP classes/exams, or mess up on the SATs. I’m a sophomore now and I’ve thought about it…I won’t be touring until summer going into senior year. That’s when everyone I know (offline at least) does it.

Sweet mother of juice, 2,676 posts!? Take a step back and smash your computer.

I was on a much more active forum last year where a lot more than basic CC stuff about overachieving went on. I haven’t been on really in the last year.

I already have an idea since I’ve been on about a bazillion since i was like 6 (for siblings). I want to go to the schools they didn’t visit though.

I started in the summer after freshman year and didn’t feel as rushed as my friends come junior year.
