Under the family section in the common app I put that my parents did not work for or retire from a college or university, but it still told me to fill out the college/university employer lookup part. I refreshed the page so many times, but that section would not go away. Because it said that this section was incomplete, I couldn’t sent out my applications. I don’t think I’m the only one that this has happened to, so I’m sharing how I fixed the problem because I know how stressed I was when this happened to me and deadlines were approaching. In order for this to go away and for it to say that the section was complete, I had to go on the common app support. There was an online live chat that immediately connected me with someone that could help. I typed in the problem, sent it to the guy helping me, and he said all he had to do was refresh the page from his administrative site. The problem was fixed right away.
