If you take the ACT several times, do colleges usually look at the best composite score from each tests or do they take the best individual scores in each subject area from all the tests to create a best composite score. Please let me know if there are some on-line materials addressing how colleges use the multiple test results. Thanks!!

Most colleges do not superscore the ACT which means that they will only take the highest composite score. However, there are exceptions, one being UChicago and another being WUSTL (I can't remember any others off the top of my head, sorry)

Brandeis also superscores

So does Vassar! :)

Florida State superscores ACT too!

Thanks for the informative responses. Now, I know to use the term "superscore" to refer to the practice of taking the best individual score--and I know of some schools that superscore ACT tests. If anyone is aware of any website that lists a number of the the schools that superscore ACT tests, please pass it along.
