Dear current college students,
Did you continue console video gaming after high school?
Did you bring a console with you to college?
Do you have a small HDTV to play on in your dorm?
Are you able to play games online?
Are you able to afford new games as they come out?
Do you still have the free time you had in high school to play games?

I stopped playing video games when I went to college. I have enough free time that I could play if I wanted, but I prefer to hang out with people, party, etc.

I play Mario Kart and Melee every once in a while, but that’s about it. Usually only on the weekends.

No.

My dorm has a large HDTV in the TV room.

Able to? Why wouldn’t I be? Do I have the time? No.

I’m able to, but I don’t have a console of my own and would prefer to use my money on other things.

Of course not.

Ugh, I was hoping I could play a bit after call of duty after classes

Dearest Zoidberg93,

You do realize that you are not RoxSox, or zchryevns, or anyone else on these forums for that matter, right?

Everyone has different things that they do at different times, for different durations of time. Yes, I know, this insight is almost as mindblowing as those of Rebecca Black.

If you really want to play CoD after classes, I’m sure you could do so,though–as with any activity–at the expense of time you could be using for other things.

My experience with “a little call of duty” after class usually turned into “a little too much call of duty” after class. So I boxed up my 360 and sent it home. If you have enough self control and are able to prioritize your homework over video games you will be fine. It is all about balance, of which I was not very good hence removing the video games from my environment. Also, my itch to play went away fairly quickly (like two weeks). But as stated in a previous post everyone is different, and what works for me may or may not work for you. Just keep everything in perspective.

Yes to all of them, and not as much as high school for the last one.

and I hope you have self control, geez.

@zchryevns your dorm has a TV room?? with a large HDTV?? ***

Don’t own a console/no hdtv (***)/online games yeah but forget any mmorpgs/i don’t buy games/yeah sometimes i spend the entire day playing games but then that means an entire day studying and making up homework

Did you continue console video gaming after high school?

Yes

Did you bring a console with you to college?

Yes

Do you have a small HDTV to play on in your dorm?

No. I have a medium sized non-hd tv.

Are you able to play games online?

No.

Are you able to afford new games as they come out?

God no.

Do you still have the free time you had in high school to play games?

Not at all. I only play on breaks now.

I brought my 360 to college. I play a decent amount of video games-mostly NCAA Football 11, NHL 09, and Red Dead Redemption.
