College visit question

My son is looking into a college nearby that has Summer Visit Days. Are these events normally just for the student, or for parents as well? (and siblings?) There is one this Monday (which I just found out about), and while we can register when we get there, I can't get an answer to my question! I do realize every college will do it differently, but if they are generally for parent/siblings, that would help me figure this out!

I don’t know what college you’re talking about, but generally speaking colllege visits/tours are usually done with family members. Sometimes high schools will organize large group visits with just students and a teacher or two. In not too many cases will a student go by themselves unless the college is local for him/her.

I saw mostly students with one or both parents, but seeing a sibling along was not at all unusual.

Thanks - that’s very helpful!

The college tours that we took often had parents with students. I did see younger siblings on several of the tours.

BTW, you can often visit a college at anytime - and not just during ‘summer visit days.’ Just call and ask when they offer college tours. Every college we called offered college tours everyday. I just had to tell when when I planned to come and how many would be in my group. Age never came up.
