<p>Anyone doing a visit to UW in January is a brave soul. Glad you were able to look past the cold and post a very fair report. I think the somewhat unique aspect of UW is that State St. is always busy warm or cold and there is always a lively feel to the place. Just read that the Student Union is getting a full Peet's Coffee shop in the building. Also they plan expand the southeast rec center but it is being outgrown. The indoor tennis facilty is great in the winter and there also is a large indoor track and exercise facility near the football stadium called the Shell. It even has a large indoor ice rink.</p>

<p>His other contender is Maryland, which hasn't released admission decisions yet. He got accepted into 3 other schools, but he's crossed them off the list for one reason or another.</p>
