College visits

We are going to Boston in April for college visits. My daughter wants to visit BU, BC, Harvard, and Northeastern. Any recommendations on where to stay and how to group college visits? We are thinking BC and Harvard one day and BU and Northeasternthe second day?

That should work however if possible I would only book one tour a day. Boston is small so none of the colleges are that far from each other. Staying in Cambridge or Newton might be a little bit cheaper than staying in Boston proper. If possible, I would try to avoid the week before Easter as MA schools are on vacation that week and the tours will be very crowded.

We have stayed twice at Homewood Suites in Needham which is about 10 minutes from Boston College. Our first tour of the school we stayed at the Sheraton Needham and just walked around Harvard, not a full tour. So the full tour was just BC. Needham might not be close enough to the other 3, high traffic zones. Check also, many places seem to charge for parking.

As far as Harvard goes, parking in that area is just about impossible. Best bet is to use the Red Line subway, getting off at Harvard Square. Campus is literally right there. You can park in the Alewife garage in Cambridge, which is the northern terminus of the Red Line.
