Why is the site only open from 8 till 8? I guess I'll visit on my own time

ok, so I might have a little problem. I submitted my rsvp for college welcome for the 8th and blah blah blah. I recently submitted a schedule change and now I can't access my rsvp page. I can't access anything! They told me in an email that it will take about 15 days, but college welcome day is before that! Do I need some sort of confirmation number or will it be a check in kinda thing? Or was rsvp-ing only so they know how many are going?

does being invited to honors day guarantee admission into the honors program? if not, how selective is the application process?

could you transfer into ucla's honor program later on if you're not in it already?

"could you transfer into ucla's honor program later on if you're not in it already?"

yes you can enter the honors program later, but you'll need a 3.5 college GPA, and youll probably need to enter sometime earlier (maybe before your 3rd year) so ensure that you have time to complete all the honors requirements. if you're not sure about entering the honors program but you're considering doing so later on (as i am myself), take classes that can give you honors credit, such as a GE Cluster (15 units!!!), and fiat luxes (1-unit seminars open only to freshmen)... and even an honors collegium course if you have room in your schedule for it!

I've never heard of a college welcome day, as in a day for ALL admitted students. However, I was invited to an open house on April 15, so I guess they do welcome days by school (engineering, business, etc.).

Also, I wonder why students from certain schools are not eligible to apply for the honors program (if someone would kindly offer an explanation).

My understanding is they offer one of the following: welcome day, honors day, aap scholars' day. Each prospective student is invited to one of these three events. I thought any open houses offered by the schools were in addition to one of the three. I'm not positive, just trying to piece it together.
