College with a good math and music program?

Hi, I'm interested in double majoring in math and music and would like to know about any schools that have strong programs in both of those things. Thanks!

Rochester, Michigan, Cincinnati… I think they all require an audition. What can your family afford? You might also check the Music Major Forum available from the main page.

Hopkins has a music conservatory (Peabody).

Williams has excellent math and music departments and double majoring is common. Lots of performance opportunities even for non-majors.

St. Olaf is famous for math and choral music. How good it is for music in general, I’m not sure.

Rice might be worth a look as well, but my impression is that it is not always easy to combine conservatory training with a traditional liberal arts degree like math.

look into Carnegie Mellon

Are you interested in getting a general music degree or do you want to major in music performance? They are 2 very different things.

Oberlin would work.
