I got a call 2 nights ago saying that College Works Painting was looking into hiring Interns.
I met 2 representatives for an informal interview with 3 other potential applicants. They told me what the internship was all about, and they tried to sway us to apply for the internship. The internship basically provides the intern with basic guidelines, tools and training to start them off in managing a small house paining business. The company takes a proportion of the intern's profit, and the intern gets the left over as his wage.

but from what ive heard from the 2 representatives, it just sounds like the company is using motivated students as cheap labor.

has anyone done this before? it seems a bit sketchy, and it looks like i would be better off looking into other jobs. any thoughts?
