Collegeboard.com Admissions info

How accurate/telling is that sites description of a schools admissions process? (very important factors vs. important factors, etc)

For example... For Lehigh GPA is not included, and class rank is only under the "considered" catigory... what does this mean for an applicant??

Not accurate. Take all that info with a grain of salt. Also, I don't think they've updated many of the schools based on the admissions data for this year yet so the SAT ranges and admit rates might be inaccurate.

Isn't that just from there Common Data Set?

VADude is correct. The information on the College Board site is taken directly from each school's self-reported information. Therefore, assume it is reliable. There is no reason for a school to say something is or isn't important in their admissions decisions, unless it really is. Bad is correct, however, in that there is usually a lag time before the most updated GPA and SAT data is updated, not just on the College Board site, but all college information sites and in guidebooks too.

going beyond the stats given by collegeboard... I' was wondering about their lists of admissions factors... they detail what a school thinks is "very important", "important", and "considered" in admissions... is this truly revealing of a schools decision making process?

Again, that's just from their common data sets, which the colleges themselves put out.

so in other words it is pretty reliable, correct?

very reliable.
