Collegeboard Hassles

Just some venting here. Collegeboard lost my subject test and hasn't scored it. I've been emailing them and calling them and no one ever emails me back or calls me back.

Then I finally get someone with an 8th grade education who has probably heard the same thing a zillion times before about hey, I need the score before such and such a date to send off or I can't get into X college, and they tell me, well, it's been reported to the department that does the search and it will take 7 (or 14 depending on who you talk to) business days and they'll eventually get back to you. But they never do, so you sit there and get really frustrated. When you ask to speak to someone in the department to which it's sent, they don't have a transfer number and don't know the department. So how do they even know it's gone anywhere? When you tell them, I've done everything I need to do and you tell me you're going to call me or email me, and you don't, what can I do? And they continue to read whatever is pre-printed on their "this is what I tell this sucker" cheat sheet. Because OF COURSE, they have no answers and are simply running interference for this faceless corporate entity.

If you ask for a supervisor, you get put on hold, then into someone's voicemail because the supervisor (if there really is one) is always on the phone. So you leave a voicemail for this non-person and they NEVER call you back.

Collegeboard really needs to be sued. This is not the first time this has happened to me, so I have to assume this has happened to other people.

Thanks for listening.

yeah similar things have happened to me.
collegeboard sucks..such a rip off.

I agree, this happened to me as well, and I still dont know what to do.
Does anyone even know how to make collegeboard do what we ask for?

Yup totally agree with you. I made a thread complaining about CB, but it got deleted (i was angry :D). I requested handscoring on my Oct SAT, and I still havent gotten the handscores yet. And what month is it? Oh yes, january -_-
They're a bad business model I tell you. 50$ for handscoring, and 3-5 weeks for shipping. -.-;;

it really suxs when you get a rush report sent to no colleges and get charged ~$20 for it

It is a money making scam. Colleges, wise up.

I PAID and requested a rushed score report.

No rush, just a 26.50 extra charge!

It cracks me up when they say "This call may be monitored for training purposes" but it's true: They are all really good at asking for your name and number and telling you that someone will call back within 48 hours --- of course, they never do and are never "at their desk right now."
Anybody have any experience with sending stuff by certified mail?
