Why are they paying operators to do a computer's job? I find that hard to believe, but if true, that is terrible business practice.

the site is down even more than it was earlier. this afternoon after the crash i could log in and it would give the temp unavilable message and now i cant even access the front page

Uh, do computers pick up phones and talk to humans? No.

Oh, you mean everyone with an answering machine pays someone to pick up their phone for them and ask you to leave a message? Could have fooled me.

Can your answering machine tell me where you went to if I ask it verbally? Has it evolved into a sentient being? Are you convinced yet?

This is such a hilarious argument to be having.

Y'know what's amazing? When I type in a phone number, the phone company knows right away who I want to call, out of eveyone in the world. They must have to pay someone a lot of money to do that, huh?

They used to. They were called switchboard operators. Then the two-tone phones came along. What else you got?

You just proved yourself wrong, so I'm going to leave it at that.

You ever tried dialing to a computer with your phone? You need to call operators who then look up your score in the database.
