I took the SAT II math II in June and I expected to get a 740+. When my score came in it was 640. I just wonder if it's possible they made a mistake and how I can be sure. Does anyone know the curve for this test? I skipped 5 and thought I missed around 3. Thanks.

you could always ask cb to hand check it by a person, but it would cost extra (obviously the non-profit organization would charging for everything even when they're the ones who made the mistakes ~.~)

You could have possibly misbubbled, or your scantron was accidentally marked on, making some answers invalid.
If you think your score would destroy your chances that much, then order a hand scoring.

well would it destry my chances if i took the test again and did well?
am I off the hook if, say, I score 780 on my second testing of the same thing?

bump... anyone know about the retakes?

there's nothing wrong with retakes.

if you feel like you did better, i would definitely rescore and then retake.
because then:
1. you know your level and how you actually did (if you did do poorly, you don't want another bad retake...it's better to know)
2. it's better to have 1 good grade than 1 bad and 1 good one
3. you don't have to restudy and you save time and effort and you can concentrate on other subject tests and classes
4. if your grade is changed, CB refunds your money :]
unless you are terribly short on money, i'd go for it
from your questions missed/wrong, you'd get around 770

If you get it rescored and they really did make a mistake, don't you get your money back? If you truly think they messed up, might as well get a rescore.

i sent in my rescore 4-5 weeks ago, still waiting for my rescore notice for chem.

Everyone WISHES the collegeboard meant that their SAT II should have been 800. But, sadly, that is not the case most of the time.

CB's chance of making an error is close to 0 percent. so many of my friends think they should have gotten above 750 on subject tests but they actually got mid 600s.

try rescoring or perhaps you misbubbled

The chance of CB making a mistake is not close to 0
CB made a mistake with my Bio SAT 2 this June and graded it as Bio E when I am 100% sure i took the Bio M. I had sent a rescore 3 weeks ago, waiting....

I scored about 70-90 pts below what I expected on Math II in May, so I ordered the rescore service(which is complete BS cause it cost about twice as much as one test) and they sent the letter to me today saying that there was nothing wrong with the initial scoring. Like seriously, why are they charging us 50 bucks for a task that doesn't even take an hour and takes them 5 whole weeks to send.

I sent in S's SAT reasoning for rescoring. waiting for the result. in the meantime i checked the college board site score section and his May report has a message saying 'Responses to individual items cannot be displayed for your test at this time.'
anyone else found this on their score report?
could this mean there is a change in the score?

it costs so much because they have to dig up your test and find a person willing to do it. the process does actually take a lot of time even though 50 is ridiculous, but you can get your money refunded :]

oh i would definitely be willing to do it even if it only means to cut half the price
