CollegeBoard Practice PSAT

This might sound like a silly question, but is the official practice PSAT released by the CollegeBoard easier than the actual PSAT administered in October?
I'm a junior and I just took the 2013 practice PSAT, and I scored 80 CR/70 M/76 W for a total of 226, whereas on the sophomore year PSAT I scored 64 CR/64 M/72 W (200) and on recent practice tests from a Barron's review book my scores have been in the 205 - 210 range.

I'm aiming to be a semifinalist in my state (cutoff of 221), and so I really need to know how realistic the CB practice test is compared to the actual PSAT. Thank you in advance!

The official test usually is one of the previous years’ test. Have you compared the one you practiced with to the one you took before so you can figure out whether you did well because you took it before?

You should probably find some more tests to practice with.

This years’ Practice PSAT was the PSAT in 2011.
