Ugh. The 2008 March SAT was the 2010 October International SAT and the 2013 March Sunday SAT. What do you think about this?

I also heard about a SATII Chem being repeated from a few years ago on the last Jan/Dec sat. It definitely is disappointing to see such an important test is being reused from an earlier year…

will the curve be the same as well? because march 2008 had a NASTY curve

Not the same…just look at CC discussion from the March 08 one and the 2010 october international one…

@MarchSAT: I don’t know where you looked, but here are the two threads. If you’ll notice, both pages talk about the use of “vituperative” as a sentence completion option.

Nearly all international tests are recycled US (unreleased) tests. It’s absolutely unconscionable and it encourages cheating, as we’ve seen repeatedly and are seeing now in Korea. A six-month investigation of cheating hagwons is in progress right now in Seoul, and SAT-II Chem scores from January have already been cancelled for students who attended a hagwon that had answers ahead of time.

@marvin100: Not only international tests, but Sunday tests as well. We pay CollegeBoard $50 to take these exams each time, the least they could do is ensure fair practices.

@Careful

Both threads you posted contain no questions from the most recent Saturday March SAT. I took it myself and I reviewed that thread. I recognized none of the questions being discussed.

@ArchLiving: The March 2013 SUNDAY SAT, as in today.

there’s not much you can do about it, but can anyone confirm if its true that the saturday US tests are always new ones?

Do they have a pattern of recycling SAT examinations? I am taking the SAT in May, does anyone assume that it will be a copy from an earlier date? I will not cheat, but I am curious because I thought all the SAT examinations were original.

For the last 5 years or so, ALL SATURDAY tests are new.

Does that mean that non-Saturday examinations are reused?

No, it’s extremely unlikely to be recycled, assuming you’re taking it in the U.S.
