CollegeBoard's IDOC?

Hi, this may be a silly question, but if a school uses CollegeBoard's IDOC, that means we send all financial aid papers (federal income tax returns, W-2 forms, etc.) to IDOC, and that we do not have to send these financial aid papers directly to the school, correct? Generally speaking, that is. (I am aware that all schools are different, but many financial aid websites are very vague in the sense that they say, "Send your papers!" without telling us where to send them. Do I assume they mean to send them to the IDOC as a kind of follow-up to the CSS PROFILE, or directly to their school, or what...?)

Thanks in advance!

You’ll get an email after you submit your CSS Profile telling you if any schools want documents submitted via IDOC.

And yes, for those schools you will just send the documents once, to IDOC. IDOC will scan them and submit them to the schools.

Some CSS Profile schools do not use IDOC, though, so for those you’d have to find out directly from them what they want you to send, if anything.

Many thanks!
