Collegeboard's IDOC

Ok first of all what is this, I got an email saying i need to send my documents to collegeboard. I am going to attend SUNY at Stony Brook and they didn't require the CSS profile, so do I just ignore this IDOC email?

The CSS Profile really has nothing to do with IDOC except they are both owned or whatever by College board - IDOC is a documentation service that collects your tax documents into one location and schools then get the documents online from IDOC. If your school requires tax returns, etc, to be sent to IDOC, then you pretty much have to do it if you want any aid. It’s fairly easy, if you just follow the instructions given.

Call SBU Financial Aid and double check to see if they are using the CollegeBoard IDOC.

Did you apply to other schools that required the Profile, that you declined admission to? If so, that is probably why you got the email. But double check with Financial Aid at SB.
