Colleges accept ACT scores from Non-national test dates????

Hi, my school district is administering the ACT test on April 23 but the national test date is on April 13. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not some colleges such as Stanford and other top colleges would accept this score even though it isn't on a national test date. Please give me some feedback, I would really appreciate it. Regardless of my confusion I've already signed up for the national test date anyway.

You will have to report it to Stanford because they require all scores. However, I think that you will have to take it again because your school district probably does not offer the writing portion and Stanford requires that. At least that is how it is in Tennessee.

Smoky is right; the writing is not offered. Fortunately, Stanford “superscores” your writing score. If you scored high without writing they would just tack on your highest writing score, so performing well on your state administered test would be useful. Many schools that do not engage in typical superscoring but require writing will often allow you to superscore just that aspect in a way similar to Stanford’s.

so I can add my 8 I got from my last ACT test to what my new score would be from the school administered one that doesn’t include writing?

Michigan also has ACT on non national test date (Mar 5 for this year), but it includes the writing.

Right egelloc80. If you score a high composite score on the school administered ACT you can send that and your writing score from a previous test to Stanford and they will combine them.
