DENIED: Cal Poly (physics), SDSU (physics ) <– apparently you had to complete a supplementary application before jan 22nd or some bs like that. i had no idea, therefore i wasnt even looked at (this is for transfer)

Accepted: UCI, UCD,UCLA!,UCSD NYU
Waiting: UCB, USC

I’m almost positive I’m going to UCLA so I’m not that worried about anything else! UCI and UCD gave me acceptances with ELC in September, and then I heard about NYU so i was all pumped to go to NY and then I got the UCLA admissions and UCSD admissions the same weekend, and was really happy, UCLA was my number one so ah excited!! but I heard that UCSD is showing inconsistency this year(like LA and Berkeley) because a few really… I’d hate to say it but DUMBASS kids got in, and some really qualified students with incredible scores didn’t. Ahhhh I’m just so glad this process is over for the most part.

^Scores alone don’t get you far in life, why should they alone get you into college?

The UCs are finally paying attention to things other than the raw numbers, which in my opinion can only be a good thing.

I have friends that were rejected because, although they had great GPAs and SAT scores, they had little beyond that. Why should they get in above a person with good GPA and test scores PLUS evidence of pursuing a non-academic passion?

Waitlisted at UCSD and WUSTL.
Denied at Rice ED
Accepted UOP, CalPolySLO, UUtah, Tulane, GATech, Clemson, Case, RPI
Still to come UCB, Northwestern, CMU, Rochester U, Boston U, UPenn

Accepted: UCSD, UCI, UCR, California Baptist University
Rejected: None. That was all I applied to and I got in to all of them with all majors intended (though for UCSD, I really want to change to Biochemistry now instead of Neuroscience because it’s more interesting to me).

Accepted: UCI(yay first choice by default, it’s closest to home), UCR(eww), CSULB
Rejected: none
waiting: UC Santa Barbara(I’m not moving), CSU Fullerton(it’ll cost me $2 to send in my college transcripts to them… I’m not doing that so this will be a reject, ohh no…)

so basically I got what I wanted, acceptance at UCI and LB. UCI was my first choice and I’ll be going there. I’ve since dropped a class which doesn’t affect the UCs but was required for the CSUs… I’m going to UCI… YAY.
