Colleges around NYC

I'm looking to transfer to a college in or around NYC. I currently go to Cornell, but it's just not for me, and I'd love to live in the city. Any suggestions for a liberal arts college with good academics that isn't too expensive (say, under 35k a year)? I've looked at some of the CUNY's (particularly Hunter) but I've heard mixed things about them.

You won’t find a private that cheap in the NYC area.

Take a look at SUNY Purchase.

Hamilton, Vassar… but they aren’t IN NYC.
The only one I could think of that is of the right calibar is Columbia/Barnard.

If I may ask, why don’t you enjoy Cornell?

I’m from the surrounding area, so going to Cornell is like living in my backyard.

i need help with college search can someone help me out i need one that offers scholarships

Take a look at Pace!

Depending on what you want to study, there’s Marymount Manhattan, Manhattan College, St. John’s, Iona, Fordham… You might want to look at Queens College as well. However, if you got in to Cornell, you should choose carefully because you don’t want to be bored.

You can try the SUNY schools and CUNY like you said. Try to find people who go here whom you trust. You will hear mixed opinions on any school because everyone has different experiences. You can look into Pratt institute this is right in the middle of Brooklyn so I don’t know your thoughts on that. You could also try Lehman college. It’s a very good liberal college in a beautiful part of the city, with close walking range to everything and really nice campus- I used to take swim class there  lol. Check out the websites for SUNY and CUNY you’ll get good info from there. Good luck
