Colleges available that are safeties and matches?

I am a student at a vocation high school in New Jersey. I took a course on Cisco routing and switching and passed my exam to earn a CCENT certification from Cisco.
I am not a part of a lot of clubs, but I have dedicated my whole high school time to Skills USA. I was president of the Microsoft authorized refurbisher program where we donate computers that are refurbished by us to the people who need one. I also took part in a state wide competition for technical computer applications and I earned a bronze medal. Basically, my whole school life has revolved around getting good grades, getting the CCENT, and having a great time in Skills USA.
My SATs:
Critical Reading: 620
Math: 620
Writing: 560
GPA:
3.6 unweighted

I've been looking at NJIT and Rutgers as those are schools that a lot of students from my class eventually go to. Thing is, I don't want to see the same people again. I want to be sent to a different school that is affordable and can give me an experience of a lifetime! (Maybe one in boston and ABET accredited for computer engineering?) I also have looked at Stony Brook, but many of the reviews here have turned me off.

Will also give matches and safeties only back!

Maybe Stevens IT, Rochester IT, Worcester Polytechnic, or Rensselaer Polytechnic? Or Rose-Hulman?

Worcester Polytechnic, Rensselaer Polytechnic, and Rose-Hulman sound wonderful. Do you know anything about the social communities here? Thank you so much for replying too!
They are also very expensive, though. I may not consider them much.

No, I actually don’t know much about them, sorry

Even if they seem expensive, perhaps they still offer a lot of financial aid - look into that first.

Here’s a potentially helpful link about RHIT, actually: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/rose-hulman-institute-technology/162704-good-college.html

Thanks for the link. Looking through that thread, they say it’s a wonderful college, but it’s very expensive and they’re not lenient in financial aid…

Rutgers is a good safety, and they have over 60,000 students. I’m certain you won’t be bumping into all your high school classmates every day.

Just my 2 cents.

Your two cents is worth more to me than gold! Thank you for them!
And in such a big university, I probably will not bump with old classmates. But it still helps to get a bit out of home, you know?

Even if the university’s sticker price is high, run the Net Price Calculator since each school calculates your financial need differently.
wpi would probably be a good school to look at.
You should also check out Union and Clarkson.
Check out TCNJ for Computer Science, too, and if you can afford OOS tuition at the SUNYs that opens a lot of possibilities.

Maybe IIT in Chicago ?

IIT in chicago sounds like a nice school, but I ran the financial aid calculator on that. They won’t help me much in terms of price.
I was looking at both Stony Brook and Binghamton for SUNYs.

SUNY Buffalo? RIT? U Rochester? What about Union? Lafayette? Lehigh? Clarkson?
What do the Net Price Calculators tell you?

Calculators have told me that I can afford Binghamton, Buffalo, and Stony Brook SUNYs.
With Lafayette and Lehigh, I’d get a full ride

Are there any colleges in fun college towns like Boston that are in my range?
