Colleges for a "Preppy/Surfer?"

I'm looking for a college near on either the east or west coast.

Something private, with a great campus, pretty woman, and great social life (frats/sorieties).

My grades aren't the best (around a 3.1 or so and a 1300 SAT), but I play Varsity Lax, Volunteer for obama campaign and other things.

What do you think would be a good fit for me!
Thanks Alot

UCSB? UC Riverside? I'm sure you can find a bunch of CSUs that are on the coast.

It doesn't have to be on a beach really, just a place that I'd fit in.

I'd probably be fine picking up snowboarding or something.

I first thought SDSU, but then I reread your criteria and noticed that you want a private school. How about Pepperdine?

pepperdine seems really nice but I heard its like super conservative....

Maybe try Florida Atlantic in Boca. It's not private, but it meets most of your criteria and the selectivity might be a match.

UCSB hands down.

3.1 won't float well for UCSB

Pepperdine would be too conservative, but otherwise it seems to fit your criteria. Would be hard to get into UCSC/UCSB with that GPA.

maybe like usd?

My cal gpa (no freshman year) is like 3.4 but I'd rather go to a smaller school as I've said

UNC-Wilmington?

You'd easily fit the honors program at Coastal Carolina.

BYU!

Party On!

definitely the college of charleston

Loyola Marymount, Chapman, University of San Diego, Santa Clara....

Chapman is pretty much UCSB except much smaller and much more expensive.

Loyola Marymount, Chapman, University of San Diego, Santa Clara, College of Charleston.

Thats what I'm looking for!

What of these schools have frats/ and which have the best females!

How important is surfing to you? There is none near Santa Clara.

yeah, Loyola Marymount sounds like just the ticket. 3.4 won't get anywhere near floating for UCSB.

Psht maybe... I go to a top 10 hs and have a really hard courseload.. ( like 5 aps)

In Florida check out Rollins or University of Tampa.

If you would be willing to snowboard instead of surf, take a look at the University of Denver or Colorado College
