Colleges for me? Classes to take Senior year?

I want to major in chemistry (to become a forensic scientist) or in engineering (not sure which field maybe mechanical).
Haven't decided between the two yet.

I just want to know where I stand with what I currently have, and where I should apply to college.

Where I'm torn for my last class is whether I should take Calc AB or Calc BC. What would be the benefits of taking BC, and how much would it help me while applying for college?

National Art Honor Society this year
Veco (environmental club): this year
Viking Nation (spirit club) sophomore year
Tennis Beginner I class (taken twice), Beginner II, currently in Beginner III.

Looking for public colleges in California (UC, Calstate)

can you take CalcBC AND raise your SAT? raising the SAT by a couple hundred points would be my goal if you want to attend the best UCs. Can you prep over the summer for a re-take? CalcBC is clearly the preferred course for an engineer and could save you at many schools from taking Calc I and II in college. Try to do both.

if your choice is EITHER raise that SAT score and take AB, OR keep that SAT score and take BC, I would go with raise SAT score +AB. The UCs won’t penalize you for taking AB so for admission purposes it’ll be the same, whereas a higher SAT score will help. However, BC would help once you’ve been admitted, since it’d make for an easy semester taking Calculus2 as an engineer (and classes will be hard enough that you’ll love having a class that’s challenging but not overwhelming.)
