Hi guys! I was wondering if you could tell me some colleges to consider? Okay so I'll just tell you about what I want in a college:

Artsy (environment)
Pretty selective
Liberal Arts
Northeast
Urban
Good financial aid
Diversity
Relaxed, Not very stressful (But still has great academics)

I know that's not a lot but that's all I can think of now. My DREAM SCHOOL is Brown (: But I know I probably won't get in because it's so selective. I just EVERYTHING about it! I'm already thinking about Vassar, Wesleyan, Amherst and others..

It might be a good idea to post stats just sk we can see what you mean by “highly selective”, its hard to find, as I would call them EXTREMELY selective universities like brown that are also stress free as there will always be something to stress about. ;)

look at Macalaster , not in the north east but, in Minneapolis. the rest lines up with what you want. assuming you have the grades and sat/act scores.

If you’re female and willing to consider a women’s college, check out Barnard.
It’s one of the best examples of a truly urban LAC. The affiliation with Columbia University gives you more course selection than virtually any other LAC (with the possible exception of the consortium colleges).

Other urban LACs include Macalester, Colorado College, Rhodes, and Occidental (all outside your NE region).

Here are some small, need-blind, full-need colleges in the NE that are not in rural areas or very small towns:
Barnard (women only, but affiliated w/Columbia)
Brandeis
College of the Holy Cross
Haverford
Swarthmore
Trinity
Vassar
Wellesley (women only)
Wesleyan

I have a… 3.9 GPA, and I dont really test well I have a 1820 SAT and 27 ACT and I still need to take my sat subject tests. I have some safeties in my state (NC) but I DREAM of going up north. I’m pretty sure I’ll apply to Vassar and Wesleyan. And I reaaally dont want to go to an all girls school… haha…

Brown, Amherst, Wesleyan and Vassar very likely are out-of-reach for your test scores. Consider Bennington, Connecticut College, Sarah Lawrence, or some of the Mid-Atlantic LACs (such as Skidmore, Dickinson, Juniata, Muhlenberg, or Goucher). However, these are expensive schools that may not cover your full need. SUNY-Geneseo is a public LAC with a much lower sticker price (even for out of state students); it may or may not be cheaper after aid than the private alternatives.

I agree that you are aiming very high given your standardized tests. Look into the financial aid situation and think about schools like: Skidmore, Clark, Connecticut College, Bard, Dickinson, Goucher, SUNY New Paltz.
