Ideally I'm looking into top-tier colleges where I expand my skills as an aspiring playwright/fiction writer. ALSO, something I was wondering: are there colleges where the playwriting majors compose plays that the acting majors at the college will act in? I remember reading of one college like that, but I don't remember specifics.

The New School used to do that, maybe still does, but it’s a graduate program.

I’m not sure that many undergrad programs have completely separate tracks for actors and writers. You might post in the section for theater majors, because plenty of students audition for theater programs.

Since your real interest is writing, who are your favorite playwrights? Do they teach? Where?

How much general education do you want? Lab sciences, another language, math?

What’s your budget? Do ypu want a certain part of the country, size of school, size of surroundings, climate, etc?

What kinds of scores and stats do you bring?
