Colleges for Very Young Students?

<p>Here is an example of a student much younger than his peers in college:</p>

<p>The student started attending a community college (East LA College) at age 8, and transferred to a university (UCLA) at age 12. UCLA allowed him and his parents to live in campus housing normally for graduate students.</p>

<p>(Side note: why do people in these forums seem to look down on students who start at community college and then transfer to a university to complete their bachelor’s degrees?)</p>
