Since you mentioned two LACs, note that colleges such as Harvey Mudd, Haverford, Hamilton, Bowdoin, Carleton, Grinnell, Bryn Mawr and Reed appear in a Princeton Review sampling “Great Colleges for Mathematics Majors.” Also note that, from the Claremont consortium, a Pomona graduate won the Apker (for undergraduate research in physics) last year.
