Colleges highly favor SAT scores

Are there any colleges that might take one's SAT score into account moreso than GPA, rank, etc? In other words, if I have a high SAT score but a not so fabulous GPA (not horrible, but not as high as SAT), which colleges will be likely to overlook the GPA a bit? Also I'm not sure if my school releases rank or not, they're sortof shady about it. They say the school "does not rank... only for specific requirements"... whatever that means. Also, are there any schools in particular that are known for favoring students that play varsity sports/ are captains of varsity sports (not recruiting)?
Specifically, do any of the following favor SAT scores/sports?

TCNJ (instate)
Loyola in MD
U. of the South- Sewanee
Rhodes College
Furman U.
U. of Miami
U. of Richmond
W+L U.
Wake Forest
Vanderbilt
Boston College
Boston U
Holy Cross

Very few if any will soley look at your SAT scores as your grades are indicative of the kind of student you have been over the past 3/4 years.

High Scores, low GPA looks as if you are not applying yourself (or at least not bringing your best self) in the class room.

BTW, Holy Cross is now a SAT optional school so your grades are definitely going to matter.

It's not that my GPA is low per se... it's just not as high as my SAT scores. My ECs schedule is much more demanding than most (if not all) people at my school have because our school is rigorous so my GPA suffers a little. Obviously colleges won't just disregard GPA, but is SAT looked at moreso by any colleges?

With high SAT scores and avg GPA, you could probably get into Vandy, BU, Rhodes, Furman, and Sewanee. Most schools like captains of varsity teams even if they aren't being recruited.
