Colleges in Cali Help

I was wondering what colleges there are that are big in size, have a strong bio program, and possible strengths in film?

So far I only know of UCLA really...how about USC and Berkeley? Are there any more with similar stuff? Thanks in advance

Berkeley is strong in biology (any good university will be, really), and probably in film -- it's great in everything, basically. I know USC is known for its film departments, and it most likely has a very good bio program.

USC is tops for film school...but the major is super competitive to be admitted. My cousin applied and was admitted as a film major. His grandfather was a USC film alum...the program has a lot of legacy admits, hence the joke USC = University of Special Connections. Biology at USC is good, but I'd say UCLA is stronger in bio.

Thanks for the info

..are there any more schools in Cali similar to la, sc, and berkeley?

I second USC for film
UCSD is usually known for their bio/bioengineering

I know the thread title is colleges in Cali..but seeing that theres four LA, SC, Berkeley, and SD..

..and I think stanford is a reach

..are there any privates or just schools outside of Cali that have similar size and strengths in bio?

Cal Poly is good for science.

And there ARE more than four UCs- Davis and and Santa Barbara are climbing up in reputation, and are definitely worth looking into.

As for privates, I've heard good things about Santa Clara and Pepperdine.

Go with Berkeley, USC, or UCLA if you want film and biology. Those 3 are the strongest.
Does Stanford even have film? O.o

Go to Cal, our football team owns all =P

Pomona and Harvey Mudd, plus CalTech if you're of that caliber.

random question. how is brown?
