Quick question: Is interviewing mandatory for Oxford or Cambridge?

From what I understand, interviewing is required for people in England and strongly suggested for those outside of England(it will hurt your chances not to interview). This is the main reason why I decided not to apply to Cambridge. I wouldn't be able to go for an interview and it would require me to rush my application for Imperial.

Btw, I got a letter a few days ago from the Univerisity College London chemistry department admissions tutor telling me he recommended me for an offer. Now I just have to wait to get the official offer information from them.
I don't think I'll end up going to UCL though. Going to England for 3-4 years seems like a bit of a hassle for anything less than Imperial which I have yet to hear from.

yup - i think they count it for like 1/2 ur app

I'm so stoked. I just got an offer from Imperial and also University of Hull. For Imperial I have to maintain an grade of A in chemistry and calculus this semester and next semester. This semester I've got it and I know I'll do it next semester in chemistr but Calculus II here at Clarkson might be a bit tough. Hull's offer is a bit easier to meet. I just have to send them verification of the qualifications I already have.

Lucky you - I'm waiting on London School of Economics and Oxford, and University College London - Leed's.

Between that and all American college apps too, its getting too suspenseful!

ooh i know someone at U of Hull. I got three offers already too. LSE doesn't tell you until Jan.Feb. or so, Oxford Dec.Jan. But the oxford application process is SO intense. Is anyone else done this process???

does anyone know much about St Andrews in Scotland? How difficult is it to get in? what are they looking for?
