Colleges in forests

Clemson is in the middle of nowhere, like someone quoted me before, we’re surrounded by the Clemson Experimental Forest. 17,500 acres owned by the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences ([Clemson Experimental Forest : College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences : Clemson University](<a href=“Page not found”>Page not found))

Hamilton is not in a forest, although the Root Glen is lovely. Paul Smiths is very woodsy and nestled on a pristine ADK lake.

[Bard College](http://www.bard.edu/)

The town of Wake Forest is also no longer a forest fwiw. It’s been engulfed by the Research Triangle.

Duke is surrounded by Duke forest. If you’re at all interested, take a look at the google aerial map of the area.

I saw somebody mention Univ of Wisconsin. The campus is pretty isolated from forests as the city surrounds it and it is located on an isthmus. The arboretum is pretty nice though and it’s not too far away. Also, there are patches of woods around the campus eg. Muir woods and Picnic point.

Bemidji State University has a 240-acre private forest.

UBC does have a lot of trees.

I’ve heard NYU is located in a beautiful forest!

^ You don’t joke. Stop it! :)

^^Ya, I also heard the same. NYU is located in the middle of a Jungle, concrete Jungle!

Perhaps “Forest” is like “Beauty”, it “is in the eye of the beholder.”
