Hey. For a while I was seriously considering journalism so I was really focused on schools with good communications. Recently I decided I wanted to be able to pay my rent...so now I'm at a loss when it comes to where to apply. Chapel Hill is my first choice. Just because you have time to figure out what you want to do. A lot of colleges you apply to their programs right away. I also like the sports and the feel of the campus. The problem is that although there is a good chance I can get in it's not a sure thing. I'm a little low on the stats. What are some colleges you all would reccomend applying to in addition to chapel hill?

wait..so are you still considering journalism or no? UNC is definitely a good choice since its health, business, and journalism programs are all top-ranked. if you're still thinking of majoring in journalism/mass communications, i'd also go for northwestern (but you have to apply to the specific program right away, unfortunately), U of Minnesota-Twin Cities, or Mizzou..although Mizzou isnt exactly prestigious. Minnesota has pretty good sports and is in a great location with plenty of job opportunities..its atmosphere is very different from that of chapel hill's though. Indiana-Bloomington also has a good journalism program.

if you're no longer doing journalism, then please ignore everything i just typed. lol

if ur doing journalism and communications Syracuse is one of the best too

sorry didn't make myself clear. I'm not considering journalism anymore. I'm looking for a college that has the feel of unc.

try UGA.

athens is very similar to chapel hill, and the honors program is a really good.

Another college may 'have the feel' of UNC but there is none other like it....He he ,...It's one in a million!! (if there ARE that many colleges..!!) Go Tarheels!!!!

Best thing to being like UNC that i can think of is UVA. But idk.

yep, i agree with tartheheel.

Georgia is probably the school most similar in atmosphere to UNC. UVa is similar also but has a bit more of an elitist old south feel.
