I'm looking to transfer out of Boston University. I want some place smaller, community/family-feel, a classic college campus, perhaps good athletics, good academics, etc.

I like Villanova a lot, I want to know other places that are like Nova in the general feel of it, the size, and the campus. Here are my stats:

Freshman (completed one semester so far)
GPA: 3.15
SATs: 1880
I think that my low GPA is due to some grade deflation here - my high school gpa was 3.6
I'm in the National Honor Society and have done plenty of community service.
I got into Union College, Dickinson, and UConn when I first applied to colleges

You could apply again to the three colleges that admitted you.
Other colleges could include Lehigh, Bucknell, Gettysburg, Fairfield, Providence, Ithaca, Marist, Fordham (I have a distinct feeling I already replied to this thread with these suggestions though… have you posted before? )
Gonzaga is a great idea indeed. Perhaps Willamette, UPortland, and UPuget Sound?

What motivated you to choose BU at first (since it is not small, doesn’t have a community/family feel, no classic college campus or athletics…)? Are you still looking for these first criteria?

Going from 3.6 in high school to 3.1 in college is fairly normal, it’s harder to get A’s in college and there’s no “weighting”.

Not sure what it takes to transfer in but you can look at Fordham, Marquette, Providence, Loyola-MD, Fairfield, Lehigh, Marist, Tulane, UMiami, to name a few…
