Colleges like Whitman not in WA

I visited Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA and loved it but the problem is I don't want to go to school in WA. I would prefer going somewhere else so I don't know any students there, and am forced to experience not knowing anyone, or really the area.
I like cold weather, and want to stay out of California and the south. So I was wondering if you knew of any schools that were very similar to Whitman in size, academics, and especially students and atmosphere. I'm looking for really friendly, smart, not overu competitive, maye outdoorsy, and Eco friend people and sort of environment.
Sorry if that was really long, but if you have any suggestions that would be great!

Colorado College and Bates.

Based on our visits, Colorado College is very similar to Whitman in terms of the students who go there.

Williams, Middlebury, Bowdoin, Colby, Grinnell.

Lewis and Clark, Portland OR

St. Lawrence in NY would be worth a look.

Bates
Bowdoin
Carleton
Colorado College
Grinnell
Williams

Lots of others, some already mentioned, but would see this 1/2 dozen as closest to fitting your profile. Bates, Colorado, Grinnell probably closest to Whitman in difficulty gaining admission.
