Colleges mind receiving late high school transcript?

Hi guys. So my high school has this thing where i need to request high school transcripts by a certain deadline in order for them to guarantee that my high school transcript will get sent to colleges on time, each deadline depending on the application deadline for colleges.

I now want to do more early action application submissions, but since it's past my schools deadline, they cant guarantee that my transcript will be sent in on time.

Will colleges accept the rest of my application and wait patiently for my transcript, even if it ends up if it doesnt arrive until the application deadline? What happens if they wont?

If they do not accept my early action application (because i failed to turn in my transcript on time), am i still allowed to apply to the same school for regular decision?

What would happen if i sent in a transcript for regular decision months in advance to its application deadline? (Like if i sent in the transcript in november, but the application deadline isnt even until january)?

If your transcripts arrive are a week or two after the deadline, then it is probably ok. Worst case, the college moves you from the EA pool to the RD pool.

No problem sending in stuff months early. I had my D have the school send her transcripts in Sept.

hey thanks for the reply.

If the colleges do decide to move me out of the pool of ED/EA applications and into the regular decision pool, will they notify me?

I think it is worth contacting the colleges’ admissions offices and asking them about your situation. They will let you know if this is OK or what will happen if it is not OK.
It might be helpful to know when your school thinks they will send the transcripts.
