You are correct. My apologies. They are not taking freshman.

As of May 11, 2010, UW-Madison projects that it will not take wait-list action:

The enrollment target for UW–Madison’s 2010 freshman class was 5,700 students. Following the May 1 enrollment confirmation deadline, our freshman class size is projected at 6,000 students. As such, the class is at capacity-plus and we do not expect to take wait-list action.

As of today via an email from them add Pepperdine to the list. They are not going to their waitlist this year.

Email from Wellesley today (per the Wellesley forum) indicates they aren’t going to their waiting list.

^here to second the Wellesley thing. No acceptances from waitlist this year.

Wow, I guess in some self-comforting way, I can take heart that both the schools I was waitlisted at, Northwestern and Wellesley, are not going into the wl. Oh well, I couldn’t have done anything more, and it was a fun ride :)

Interesting about Northwestern. I just read somewhere that they have fewer Theatre admits this year - under 100 which is usually their target.

my DD got a letter today saying that Vassar has released their waitlist

amtc,
My S, who is a Northwestern theatre admit, says he heard the number is “92,” which was surprising to us.

Someone posted on the Tufts board today that she received an email that the freshman class is full and they’re not taking anyone off the waitlist.

momof3 sons - that’s the number I heard. I wonder what’s up with that? Maybe in the last few years they have had fewer kids transfer out of the Theatre major so they’re keeping the Freshman number a little lower? Does 8 kids make that much of a difference? (Except of course the those 8 who might be admitted should they increase to their typical 100 kids.) Don’t know, but it is kind of a curiousity.
